About the Artist
Michael Salazar (M.A.S.) is a contemporary artist known for his automatic, intuitive approach to creating art. Born and raised in San Gabriel, California, he developed a deep passion for drawing at an early age, constantly bringing his imagination to life. Completely self-taught, Michael immersed himself in the creative process as a teenager, exploring sculpture, painting, and drawing. Over time, he honed a unique visual style that sets his work apart in both technique and intention.
The purpose of his work is to challenge the viewer’s perception of art. Through intricate forms and layered symbolism, his pieces invite viewers to slow down and decode what they’re seeing, offering entry into a world they’ve never experienced before. His goal is to expand the boundaries of imagination and provide an experience that is both visually rich and deeply thought-provoking.
Michael has held three self-funded solo exhibitions (2022–2023), and in 2025, his work was featured in the Pancakes & Booze Art Show as well as The Holy Art gallery exhibition.
