WHERE I REMAIN
Ink On Paper | 11 X 11 in | 2023
This piece captures a time in my life when I began to feel conflicted about my path as an artist.
While many of the people I grew up with pursued careers in the corporate world, I chose to follow the powerful urge to create. That decision often feels lonesome — like the world is passing me by.
Not everyone understands what it means to chase something as uncertain as art, and at times, it even feels like that choice is looked down upon. This work is a reflection of that internal tension — the pull between following my purpose and feeling left behind.
